Yocum plans to return to BC

Kyle Yocum loved his junior day visit to Boston College and he's even more excited for this off-season because the Reading (Pa.) Exeter Township athlete plans to return to Chestnut Hill.
The reasoning is that Yocum, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound prospect, is being recruited as a quarterback by the Eagles and pretty much everyone else and wants to throw in front of the coaching staff.

During his junior day visit, the Boston College coaches apparently told Yocum they're going to keep a close eye on him and definitely want to see him back during the summer camp season.
"The campus was great," Yocum said. "Everything is so close and up at BC they really think about really caring for their players. That's something that really interested me when I went up there.
"You could really tell they truly care about their players and they truly care about academics as well and doing really well in football. It was a great trip.
"What they said was they were very interested and they want to offer me but they need to see me throw. They want to see me spin it and then they said they could offer me."
That excites Yocum, who threw for about 1,200 yards with 13 touchdowns in his junior season and also rushed for 978 yards and 11 scores. He's already a hard worker but Yocum said he's going to go even more knowing that Boston College is looking at offering him.
"It's really exciting and it makes my work ethic, I have to push it even harder," Yocum said.
"Having that in my mind, knowing I could have an offer from them, makes me want to work harder each day until that happens."
During his trip to New England, Yocum also visited Connecticut and was also impressed with that program. It wasn't a junior day but the Pennsylvania prospect caught a tour of the school and a feel for what the program is all about.
"The UConn coach came to my school and they said they want me to come down and have a personal tour, to see all the facilities and then we went down to the UConn basketball game," Yocum said. "It was a nice visit."
