Wilkins likes BC early on

Kevin Wilkins has transferred from Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep to Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph's but that hasn't stopped his interest in Boston College.
The 6-foot-3, 278-pound defensive tackle in the 2014 class said he's recently picked up an offer from the Eagles and there is serious interest.

Since he's only entering his junior season, though, Wilkins said he's going to take his time with the recruiting process but he knows a lot about the Boston College program and would like to learn even more.
"When I was at Bosco they would always come to the school and they offered me going into the football season," Wilkins said. "I'm not going to be there next year but I'm still interested in them.
"I know from some of my coaches and some of my buddies going there I know little things about BC.
"I know the players they're known for. A lot of people say they're just like Bosco where they work hard in the weight room and everything. That's really what I'm looking for."
Wilkins, who does not list any other offers at this time, said he's been hearing a lot from UConn, Rutgers, Miami and Michigan.
Many more programs could get involved as time goes on. For Wilkins, it's still the preliminary stages of the recruiting process so he's not going to rush a decision although he does like Boston College.
"It's way too early," Wilkins said.
