Visit report: ATH Jonathan Donnelly

Olney (Md.) Good Counsel athlete Jonathan Donnelly visited BC not long ago and EagleAction.com has the latest on that trip after speaking with the 5-foot-10, 185-pound athlete.

VISIT REACTION: "My experience at Boston College was impeccable," Donnelly told EagleAction.com early this week. "I loved the entire visit. Every aspect of the campus was extremely attractive. From the Jesuit-themed buildings to the remarkable football facilities, BC is simply a great place to be.

"On the football side of things I loved the tempo of practice. The energy from the coaches transferred into the players, and it looked as if everyone truly loved what they were doing. Coach (Steve) Addazio, Coach (Rich) Gunnell and the rest of the staff showed great hospitality and made me feel like an Eagle. I will definitely be back," he added.

EAGLE ACTION'S TAKE: Donnelly doesn't yet have an offer from BC but he'll be under the microscope. Helping his cause is the fact that he comes from a great high school program.

Donnelly has a very high GPA and is a versatile prospect who could play on either side of the ball. He was a slotback and strong safety for Good Counsel last year, earning all-conference honors on the offensive side.
