Still early for Hicks

Darian Hicks admits he doesn't know too much about Boston College's program but he knows the Eagles offered and since it's still so early that's enough for him.
The Solon, Ohio, cornerback - who's up to seven offers - said he recently talked with his coach and he has an offer from Boston College.

Since it's still so early, Hicks said he doesn't have any idea where his recruitment is headed and he plans to just take his time with everything.
"I haven't thought about where I'm going," Hicks said. "I don't know where I'm going yet. I'm happy with how things are going right now.
"(Boston College) offered last month. They came to my school and I have been talking to the coaches and my coach told me they offered. I don't know too much about them yet though."
So far, Hicks has offers from Boston College, Illinois, Michigan State, Penn State, West Virginia, Cincinnati and Louisville. At this point, he doesn't have any unofficial visits set up and doesn't plan to start scheduling them until the summer.
Before Hicks, who helped lead Solon to 10 wins this past season, starts naming favorites or looking at frontrunners, the 6-foot, 175-pound prospect wants to research each school to see which program would be the best fit.
It's still so early for him no leaders have emerged yet.
"I want to look at each school closer," Hicks said.
Solon finished 10-2 this past season with its only two losses coming to Mentor, Ohio, with one loss in the regular season and another in the playoffs.
This past season, Hicks finished with 41 tackles and three interceptions.
