Simmons not worried about BC
Justin Simmons is fully aware of Boston College's 0-2 start but the Stuart (Fla.) Martin County defensive back also understands the Eagles have already had their fair share of bad things happen and that's a big reason for the early struggles.
From injuries to dismissals, Simmons said Boston College's first few weeks have not been great but he's not too concerned and is looking for a turnaround this weekend in the ACC opener against Duke.

"I just see that start as a couple players being out for them," Simmons said.
"Their first game, (Ifeanyi) Momah, got hurt and a couple safeties have been dismissed and I know their running back, Montel Harris, has been out. I see it as a couple young players starting to fit in big roles and getting a feel for the game."
Even though the Eagles are struggling so far, Simmons said the win-loss record doesn't influence his commitment and he doesn't think he can be swayed away from his pledge to Boston College.
"No," he said. "I don't think I'm going anywhere else.
"I see it as a little bump in the road more for the team not necessarily my decision. I think they're going to start coming back in their season especially in the ACC opener against Duke."
As for Simmons, his Martin County team is 1-1 this season and coming off a bad loss to Vero Beach but he is playing well.
He has two touchdowns on offense including an 89-yarder, returned a kick 96 yards last week and finished with 188 all-purpose yards in the 42-14 decision.
Playing both ways at slot receiver and free safety and cornerback, Simmons is all over the field and doing well from a distance as he's looking for Boston College to turn it around on the field starting this week.
"Things are going pretty good," Simmons said. "The only thing we have to work on as a team is offensively executing every drive we get.
"Instead of settling for field goals we have to finish off teams and start punching in six points instead of three. Defensively, it's the little things. Like against Vero, it's some little things that allowed them to score. We're working on it."
