Shorts moves BC up list

Daikiel Shorts recently took an unofficial visit to Boston College and met for a long time with wide receivers coach Aaron Smith.
The trip was incredibly valuable for the Elkton (Md.) Eastern Christian Academy wide receiver and the Eagles have moved way up his list.

"It was a really nice visit," Shorts said. "I like the school. I got to meet the receivers coach, coach Smith, and they showed me around campus. The campus is really nice.
"I was impressed by pretty much everything. I like their facilities, their field, he took me to practice and he showed me what players go through every day so it was really nice up there."
Boston College is one of the favorites for Shorts, a 6-foot-1, 199-pound prospect, but he still wants to take some other visits before making his decision.
Hawaii, Maryland and Temple have also offered Shorts, who said he would definitely like to visit Hawaii at some point as his recruitment continues. Other programs are showing interest as well.
The Boston College coaching staff has made it clear they would love for him to commit but Shorts said they're not really pressuring him since it's still so early.
"They want me to commit but coach Smith didn't mention anything about it too much," Shorts said. "He didn't really put pressure on me. He just said to make the best decision for me.
"That's definitely a serious option. That's one of my top schools. I like all the schools that have offered me so far. I want to take a visit to Hawaii and I guess I'll see after that but I definitely like BC a lot."
