Scouting the commits: Jehlani Galloway

EagleAction.com takes a closer look at Boston College's Class of 2018 commitments and the project begins with the spotlight on Jehlani Galloway.

Galloway had been on BC's radar for many months before he verbally committed to the Eagles and he's the player we look at first.

Galloway finished his junior season in 2016 with 600 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He returned a punt for a touchdown and picked off five passes for Providence (R.I.) Classical.

He's an outside receiver all the way and has a really nice combination of size and leaping ability.

Galloway has been a big-time deep threat for the above reasons but also because he has demonstrated the quickness and hands to get off contact at the line of scrimmage. One of his best qualities is judging the ball in the air and either timing his jump or making tough over-the-shoulder grabs down the field.

He can continue to work on getting in and out of his breaks a little quicker. Galloway has good speed, not great speed, and that's something he can work to improve upon as well.
