One of his top choices

Boston College is one of Stevie Scott's top choices, the father of the 2018 running back tells Eagle Action.

The Eagles offered Scott at the beginning of October and Steve Addazio's staff hasn't slowed in their pursuit of him since then. On the contrary, BC seems to be making Scott one of their top early recruits from the 2018 class.

The Syracuse (N.Y.) Christian Brothers back is listed at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, but his father, also Stevie, says he's a 6-foot-2, 225-pound "manchild" with the ability to play either linebacker or running back.

"He could play both positions," the elder Scott told Eagle Action this week. "They're all telling him he can come in and play either side. It depends on what he wants to do."

When Scott's father said "all" he's referring to a very wide range of schools that have reached out to his son. Boston College, Syracuse, East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Pitt, Rhode Island, Maine and even others like Texas, Clemson and LSU have taken notice, at least on some level.

"Right now it's just open," Scott's father said of his recruitment. "I do know that he talks to Boston College all the time. They gave him an offer back around (October 1). He got (the offer) when he went up there to visit. They had been looking at him throughout the whole year before that.

"As far as the visit he said that he loved it," his father continued. "He said that was one of his choices. He said it's one of his top choices, in his eyes."

In addition to Boston College, Scott has also visited Syracuse. He has been planning to visit Pitt and Virginia Tech but hasn't made those trips happen yet.
