N.J. receiver is high on on the Eagles

John Tsimis is a junior wide receiver who had a breakout year this past fall at Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic and he's hoping his success translates into offers.
Boston College is one of several schools taking an interest in Tsimis, a 6-foot, 175-pound prospect who describes himself as more of a possession receiver than a speed guy.

"I can still beat you over the top, though," Tsimis is quick to add. "I'm also good on jump balls at the goal line."
Tsimis caught 60 balls for 760 yards and 11 touchdowns this season so he's poised for a huge senior year.
The Eagles took notice of Tsimis even before this past season.
"I went to their camp this summer and during the year they contacted my coach," he said of the Eagles. "I went up to see their game against Florida State. It was a really good atmosphere and packed. They lost the game but they have a good team and they're really young. They're going to be good in the future. I liked it a lot.
"At the camp I thought I did really good in the one-on-ones and showcases. I caught all the passes thrown my way."
The Bergen Catholic standout attended a junior day at Rutgers recently and said he has also been in talks with UConn.
"Rutgers was really cool. I went to one of their practices and that was great. UConn is another school that has invited me to a junior day," he concluded.
Tsimis also pointed out that he doesn't have any favorites yet.
