Lynch taking his time

The recruiting process for three-star running back Akeel Lynch of Athol Springs (N.Y.) St. Francis has been an interesting one. After committing to the Eagles, Lynch quickly decided that he still wanted to take an official visit to Penn State, but has remained rather quiet in the last month.
Lynch maintains that he plans to take visits, but seems to be in no rush at this time.

"I plan to take visits after the season," said Lynch, who was asked if he will only visit BC and Penn State or if other schools may also come into the picture. "Some others too, but I'm not sure."
Lynch has stayed in contact with the BC staff since his commitment, and maintains contact with the Penn State staff, but over the last week a couple of new schools have crept into the picture.
"Stanford, and Arkansas is contacting me now too," said Lynch, who gave his thoughts about Arkansas, since they're the most recent school in the picture. "They're a great team. I don't know a lot about the school, but I'm going to take a look."
With Lynch taking his time before he solidifies any decision, he discussed what he is looking for in a program.
"Good academics and somewhere I can get the opportunity to make a difference," said Lynch.
Despite all of the recent interest and the possibility of taking more visits, Lynch does still consider himself committed to Boston College. The BC coaching staff have also been in consistent contact with Lynch.
"They've been checking up on me," said Lynch. "I have talked to the head coach and the running backs coach. My relationship with the staff is real good. They have a great staff."
Lynch began his season last weekend and rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries. He noticed a difference in his play compared to last season.
"I'm running with my pads lower and I'm a lot stronger too," said Lynch.
