Local linebacker returns to BC

Luke Catarius is one of a handful of prospects that will attend Boston College on Thursday and while the Dorchester (Mass.) Boston College High inside linebacker has already been to campus numerous times he's still excited to return.
The 6-foot, 225-pound prospect has camped with the Eagles the last two summers and they're definitely one of the favorites as his recruitment moves forward.

"I've been to the campus before but I can't wait to see the inside stuff, like go in-depth and meet the strength and conditioning coach, meet the other coaches and have some one-on-one time with them," Catarius said.
"At the end of the day I'm going to watch practice so that should be cool. I want to see how their practices are run.
"I was there the past two summers. I've grown up watching BC football. That would be a great opportunity if I could go there."
Catarius said he admires how Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly plays the game and definitely models his game after the Eagles' star.
He hopes to keep talking with the Boston College staff, return this off-season for another summer camp and possibly earn an offer at some point.
"They're known for their linebackers," Catarius said.
"Coach (Bill) McGovern is a great coach and he will definitely develop me as a great person and a great football player. Just seeing Kuechly receive the Butkus Award, they have that exposure and people look at their linebackers a lot. That's where I want to play in college.
"I'm not trying to rush anything. I'm just seeing what they think. I'm bringing them my highlight film and my full game film and we'll see how it goes."
