After months of waiting, offensive tackle Richard Lapham has picked up three offers in just the last few weeks. The lineman even appears to be close to committing to one.

The 6-foot-8, 282-pounder picked up offers from Boston College, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
"New Hampshire has been there from the beginning for me," he said. "I've gotten to know them and the coaches are a great bunch of guys. Anyone that wants you like they do is good."
The offer from Boston College has especially stood out to the Amherst (N.H.) Souhegan product.
"I just got back from the Boston College camp and I picked up the offer this morning," he said. "The camp was great and I did well. I worked with the offensive linemen, which I haven't done before as I'm usually a tight end. I picked it up and the coaches made a lot of connections for me comparing blocking in football with sliding my feet to moving in basketball.
"The school is great, but it's not brand new to me because I've been there a lot. The big thing for me is that they are in the city and obviously being in the Northeast, Boston is the city to be in. It's a very competitive, academic school and the program is taking off. I'm just glad to be invited, that's a real honor. I was really excited to get the offer and we're going to talk about it as a family. I'm going to get back with Boston College after the holiday weekend, but I'm leaning towards them right now."
Next season Lapham will be playing on the offensive line for the first time, which is also the position he will play at the next level.
"This season I'm playing offensive tackle and I'm getting myself ready for that by working out every day," he said. "It doesn't matter to me what position I play as long as I'm playing and contributing to the team. I'm going to work my hardest to be the best at the position as possible."
