Jersey fullback waiting for an offer
Fullback Matt Barnett of Haddonfield (N.J.) Paul VI continues to receive serious interest from the Boston College coaching staff, and recently had the opportunity to attend a game. As he continues to wait and see if an offer comes his way, he has been a leader for his team on both sides of the ball.
"I went up to BC a couple of weeks ago," said Barnett. "I'm just waiting for an offer. It just comes down to whether they take a fullback this year. I'm also going up to UConn in the next couple of weeks and it's the same with them."

While it was not the first visit for Barnett to Boston College, he still left very impressed.
"It was awesome," said Barnett. "It was my third time up there. I went to the spring game last year and I went up for camp. Every time I travel up there I just find more reasons why I love the school."
Barnett, 6-foot-1 and 232-pounds, shared a few of these reasons.
"The program in general, the coaches, the stadium, the game day atmosphere, the fans, the players and the campus," said Barnett. "It's just a place where I would love to be."
Growing up in South Jersey, Barnett sees some similarity with Boston and a city he is more accustomed to.
"What's not to love about Boston," said Barnett. "I live right outside of Philly and I'm there a lot. Boston reminds me of Philly in a way, and the campus speaks for itself."
Recruiting Barnett for BC has been Coach Mike Dawson.
"I think he's an honest guy and he's straight forward with you and where you are with the recruiting process," said Barnett. "He seems like a hard-nosed coach with the players and that's the kind of coaching I enjoy."
Finally, Barnett gave a quick update on his play this fall.
"Personally I'm playing great," said Barnett. "I'm racking up pancakes every game, earning tough yards every game and I lead the team in sacks, and I'm pretty sure in tackles. I'm doing well, but there is always room for improvement."
