Davis closer to making decision
Sean Davis plans to take the next few weeks to consider his two favorites - Boston College and Maryland - and then the Washington (D.C.) Maret School prospect could be ready to make his decision.
The 6-foot-1, 172-pound safety recently took an unofficial visit to Boston College and things went really well - especially his meeting with coach Frank Spaziani.

"I went for a visit last week and had a great visit with my parents," Davis said. "I talked to all the coaches, sat down with coach Spaz, had lunch with coach Siravo the DB coach and had a really good time. I definitely felt connected and felt welcome."
Davis, who also has Connecticut, Marshall and James Madison on his offer list, said Spaziani really stood out as a family man first and a football coach second. That really attracted the Washington, D.C., prospect to the Eagles.
"He's a family-oriented guy," Davis said. "He puts family first. He's a funny guy and he has a great background and has put together a great staff and a great team.
"When we were there half the time we weren't even talking football. We were talking about academics and he was telling me stories about his life so he's a family man and I definitely bonded with him."
But Maryland is also making a major push for Davis, who camped with the Terrapins and said he hit it off with first-year coach Randy Edsall and his staff as well. It looks to be a two-team battle going into the final weeks.
"I felt really connected to the coaching staff," Davis said.
"I went to the camp and it was going well but I ended up hurting myself and my leg started acting up and halfway through camp I just sat back and chilled with the coaches. We bonded and really connected and we had a good time so I love the coaches."
Davis said he's going to sit down and think about his decision over the next couple weeks and that it looks like it's going to be either Boston College or Maryland.
He's going to weigh the pros and cons of each school and figure out whether he'd rather be closer to home or head back to Boston where he had a great time on his trip.
"I'm just taking everything into consideration and thinking really hard," Davis said.
"I'm done visiting schools and I'm thinking hard about what I want to do whether I want to be close or if I want to be in Boston. I'm definitely thinking by the end of this month I could have a decision."
