Cottrell set on BC

Once the Boston College coaching staff watched Jack Cottrell's film he started having regular correspondence with them and soon after the Eden Prairie, Minn., outside linebacker thought a commitment could be possible.
Cottrell, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound three-star prospect, and his father visited Boston College not once but twice and realized it was the perfect fit.

The commitment came in early April and Cottrell is not looking back on his decision at all.
"I started sending e-mails back and forth with them after they saw my tape my junior year and then my dad and I visited for their junior day and we really liked the campus and we thought the coaches were good," Cottrell said.
"We took another trip out there a couple months after that and we got to know the coaches more and we got a full campus tour and it just felt like it was the right fit."
Cottrell said he's thrilled to have his recruitment over with and now he can focus on his team and his senior season.
"I'm really happy," Cottrell said. "It gives me all the time to focus on my high school season coming up and lifting and getting stronger for college.
"It was a big thing. It was kind of stressful going through the whole process so it was a blessing to get an offer and get it done with."
His commitment to the Eagles is firm but Cottrell said he still plans to visit Iowa State. Boston College is still the school for him but the Minnesota prospect said in case something happens he wants to see what other options are available.
"I'm set on BC right now unless something changes on their end," Cottrell said.
"The only other school I'm visiting is Iowa State. That's the only other school if something happens with BC but I'm set on BC."
