Big season ahead for Boyle
Even though Tim Boyle has a couple offers including one from Boston College the Middletown (Conn.) Xavier 2013 pro-style quarterback will still split time with another player this season, something he admits is tough but he's willing to do as long as it's best for the team.
"The quarterback I split time with last year is going to be a senior this year so right now we're still splitting time," Boyle said.

"It's tough, the other guy we're like brothers, he's a good guy, but it is tough. You want it to be your team, you want to be the quarterback, you want to be the leader, you want to score the touchdown, you want all eyes on you but since I was so young it helped me going straight to varsity.
"I'm definitely ready for the starting job but what's best for the team is splitting time so that's what I'm going to do."
Boston College offered the 6-foot-3, 205-pound prospect after he camped in Chestnut Hill for three days this summer. Syracuse has also offered Boyle, who said Connecticut, Rutgers and Temple are also showing interest.
Since his junior season doesn't start until the middle of September, Boyle said there hasn't been much news on the recruiting front. For now, he's focused on putting together a big season and maybe picking up some more offers.
Even with offers already on the table, Boyle said he does feel the pressure to perform well but he's excited to get going. Middletown Xavier faces West Haven (Conn.) Notre Dame in the season opener on Sept. 16.
"I feel like there is pressure but it's a good type of pressure," Boyle said. "I feel like I have to prove myself.
"I definitely have something to prove to the state of Connecticut and to my teammates. I'm pumped up. I want to have good games, I want to have a good season and this is a big year for me. I'm really looking forward to it."
Boyle, who said he doesn't have any favorites at this point, hopes to visit schools in the South and West next summer to see if he could pick up more offers. As a sophomore, he threw for about 800 yards.
