BC not done at running back

Last week Boston College added a commitment from one Virginia running back. Now the Eagles are surging with another rusher from the state.
Josh Tapscott didn't take long to decide Boston College was where he wanted to be. The Eagles offered and he committed after three visits in quick succession.

Reeling in Daniel Reid is going to be a more difficult chore. That's because Virginia Tech has been in his ear for months and the 6-foot, 202-pound back from Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale admits that Tech and South Florida are his two favorites.
That doesn't mean those are his finalists.
"I'm really liking Boston College because of their coaches and just how they're real about everything," Reid said this week.
"I also like how they're talking about their playbook and what it's going to be like this year. They've been talking about how many running backs they have coming in and what they have already. I think I'd have a good chance of getting early playing time there and the offense seems to fit me pretty well, too.
"Those are just some of the reasons I like BC, and besides, it's a good academic school."
Al Washington is recruiting Reid for the Eagles and seems to have his attention.
"It's a school I'd like to visit before I make a decision," Reid noted.
Reid would like to wait it out and take his official visits but said his coach seems to like the idea of an earlier decision, probably so the recruiting process doesn't drag on unnecessarily and become a distraction.
Reid was scheduled to visit Virginia Tech on Sunday before EagleAction.com spoke with him.
