Baker still looking at BC

Adrian Baker has seen his recruitment take off in recent weeks but the Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna cornerback said he's still seriously interested in Boston College.
The Eagles were the first offer for the 6-foot-1, 168-pound prospect and he said he appreciates that they took a shot on him when every other school was holding back.

"They have a good chance," Baker said of Boston College. "Every school that has offered me has a chance. I really appreciate them offering me to give me a free education and to make me a better football player.
"BC they're up there and they're in my top five right now. It's important to me that they offered me first. That means a lot. They liked me and they didn't care I didn't have any other offers at the time. I appreciate that. They were the first ones to pull the trigger so that means a lot."
Baker now lists offers from Boston College, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, NC State, Purdue and West Virginia. The South Florida prospect said he plans to still take all his official visits before making a decision and that he's been stunned by all the recent attention.
"BC was the first to offer me and then Florida kind of shocked me," Baker said. "I had only received three pieces of mail from Florida and then they just offered me. After Florida, they just pretty much started coming in after that.
"My plan is to go through spring and then after spring I should have a good idea on who's interested and who's going to offer. After that, I'm going to narrow it down to a top five in the summer and then I'm going to take my official visits."
Trips are important to Baker, who said he doesn't want to make a commitment without seeing the school. That's why it's expected his recruitment will continue on for many months.
"I don't want to commit to four years of my life to a place I've never seen," Baker said. "I want to see where I'll be for the next few years of my life before I make any decisions or commitments."
