ATH ready to visit BC

Boston College was the first school to verbally offer Darron Lee and that's something that still sticks out to him about the Eagles.
For a long time BC was the only school that had offered the 6-foot-2, 195-pound athlete from New Albany (Ohio). In the world of recruiting things change pretty quickly.

Lee is now up to six offers with the most recent coming from Illinois and Purdue.
"Those were this past Saturday," Lee said. "I was at Illinois' junior day but I didn't really get to see much of what they have to offer because I was talking to Coach (Alex) Golesh and Coach (Tim) Banks.
"I got along with them pretty well. I knew Coach Golesh from when he was at Toledo and I knew Coach Banks from when he was at Cincinnati. It wasn't anything new."
Lee knows he'll be visiting at least one more school soon.
"I'm going to Boston College for my spring break. That's not next week but the week after that. That's all for now."
While the Eagles have plenty of new competition they're also still in excellent shape with the Ohio prospect.
"I've been talking to Coach Devine and I've developed a good relationship with him. Since Coach Sirmans left he's been the one that's been in contact with me.
"They were my first offer, of course. I'm really going up there to see what they have to offer me and if it's a place I could fit in at."
Lee said he doesn't have any favorites but he knows what he's looking for. Academics are important to him so he wants a good business program.
On the football side he's looking for team unity and a family atmosphere more than anything else.
Purdue has been recruiting Lee for defense, as had Boston College until recently. The Eagles have started to look at him as a potential skill position player on offense. Lee plans on calling the coaches soon to talk to them about that.
Illinois' coaches have said they could see him playing on either side of the ball.
Don't expect Lee to make a decision anytime soon.
"I'm probably going to take some of my officials," he said. "I'm the kind of guy that doesn't want to move too early. I need to get enough information on all of the schools."
