Another big night for Lynch

Akeel Lynch continues putting up huge numbers and what's even more impressive is that the Athol Springs (N.Y.) St. Francis running back put up a lot of his statistics in the first half this past weekend.
Lynch finished with 218 yards and six touchdowns on 12 carries in a 63-12 win over Cardinal O'Hara. He had an 80-yard touchdown in the third quarter before being pulled for the rest of the blowout.
Other Boston College commits like Dan Crimmins also played well. The 6-foot-5 athlete caught a 52-yard touchdown pass and ran for a 46-yard score but Demarest, N.J., lost to Bergenfield, 46-45.
Offensive lineman Jim Cashman and his Haddonfield (N.J.) Memorial squad blanked Paulsboro, 35-0. Haddonfield Memorial has four shutouts in six wins and has outscored its opponents 231-33 so far this season.
Linebacker/athlete Steven Daniels caught a 56-yard touchdown pass but Worcester (Mass.) Academy got beaten, 24-21, by Choate Rosemary Hall.
Tight end Sam Grant and Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward bounced back after losses to Don Bosco Prep and St. Xavier with a 42-27 decision over Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller.
Wide receiver Harrison Jackson caught a 29-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter but Purcellville (Va.) Loudoun Valley got beaten, 47-12.
Offensive linemen Win Homer and Frank Taylor along with linebackers Tim Joy and Mike Strizak and defensive end Malachi Moore all helped lead their teams to victories.
Homer and Christchurch, Va., went to 7-0 with a 47-12 win over Trinity Episcopal; Taylor and Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood downed Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic, 49-6; Joy helped lead Chelmsford, Mass., past Dracut, 35-7; Moore and Sparta (N.J.) Pope John XXIII beat Jefferson Township, 28-7; and Strizak's Don Bosco Prep squad defeated Passaic County Tech, 63-15.
Cornerback Donovan Henry helped West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial past Malden Catholic, 33-13.
Defensive back Justin Simmons and Stuart (Fla.) Martin County lost to Fort Pierce Central, 27-0.
