2013 DE will attend junior day

Curtis Cothran has emerged as a big-time target for BC and several other schools and the 2013 defensive end will get a first-hand look at Boston College on January 28.
That's because Cothran has sent in his RSVP for the Eagles' junior day and he's looking forward to the event.

So far the only school Cothran has visited is Rutgers, and while the Scarlet Knights made a strong impression he's keeping an open mind.
"I can't say I have any favorites because I don't really have a lot to compare yet," Cothran told EagleAction.com early this week.
"I've been to Rutgers and I really liked it there. I've been around Rutgers so I know what they're about.
"I'm going to be at Boston College and Syracuse for junior days this month and then I think I'll be at Maryland next month for one."
Every school recruiting the 6-foot-5, 225-pound prospect from Newtown (Pa.) Council Rock North likes him as a defensive end, and with good reason. This past fall he registered six sacks and forced a fumble.
"Schools have told me they really like me as a speed rusher coming off the edge," he explained.
While Cothran hasn't spoken with coaches from BC much it's clear the Eagles are very interested.
"They've been sending me stuff and one of their coaches came by the school recently," he said. "I'm looking forward to taking a look at them when I'm up there."
