It was a pretty big week for Boston College football recruiting with the Eagles landing not one, but two quarterbacks from the 2018 class.

First it was Johnny Langan, a dual-threat from New Jersey.

On Saturday, it was pro-style quarterback Matthew Valecce of Fordham Prep in New York.

The Bronx, N.Y., native had become a hot commodity recently, landing offers from Columbia, Dartmouth, Holy Cross, Buffalo, Boston College, Rutgers and Pitt during the recent portion of the spring evaluation period alone.

Valecce complements what Langan brings to the 2018 class in that he's more of a prototypical pro-style quarterback.

Last year at Fordham Prep, Valecce passed for 2,628 yards and 27 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He completed 173 of 285 passes.
