Basketball season is nearing tip off. The beginning of the season is so close that yesterday was picture day for the Boston College Eagles men's basketball team. The team is having an open practice tonight inside of Conte Forum open to all students and fans.
The Eagles will travel to D.C. on Saturday, October 29th for their yearly "secret scrimmage" against George Washington University. Then on the following Thursday, November 3rd they square off against Stonehill at 7 p.m. in an exhibition game at home before their first game of the regular season.
The Eagles will welcome Nicholls State of the Southland Conference into Conte Forum on November 11th for a tip-off set for 7 p.m.

As you'll clearly notice the team has significantly different uniforms this season. The jerseys font and design, along with the new shorts that are cut tighter and sit right above the knee of each player.
The Three Returners from the 2015 Signing Class
Much has been made about the exit of many freshmen off of last years squad. Only three remain from that signing class, as the Eagles have greatly upgraded their talent since then. Just guard Jerome Robinson, and forwards A.J. Turner as well as Ervins Meznieks remain on the teams current roster from the 2015 signing class.
The three sophomores share a close friendship.
Compare the noticeable differences in Robinson and Turner's bodies in a similar photo (shown below) from exactly one-year ago that was taken during their freshman season picture day.
The body changes are most recognizable in the muscle definition throughout their arms and shoulder caps.
The two players have gained over 12-pounds a piece. Each of them stressed that adding weight would be a focus in the off-season and summer. This would help each of their games. The added strength and size would allow them to be stronger and able to compete more physically.
