The Boston College Eagles have lost another player to transfer, this time guard Sammy Barnes-Thompkins has decided to move on according to his father. Earlier in the off-season the Eagles lost guard Matt Milon and big man Idy Diallo.
With a backcourt full of young and athletic talent in rising star Jerome Robinson, and two talented newcomers Ty Graves and Kyran Bowman, BC should be in good hands with the departures of Milon and Barnes-Thompkins.
Despite only scoring 5.5 points per game in his freshman season for the Eagles, Barnes-Thompkins was a noted bright spot while having to step up and play major minutes in ACC play with fellow freshman guard Jerome Robinson out of the line-up with a broken wrist.
He averaged 7.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in ACC action. While scoring a career high 15 points vs. Georgia Tech (2/27), while also going 5-for-8 from beyond the arc in that game. SBT also notably scored 14 points in games at Clemson (2/17) and Virginia (2/3) this season as well.
