While at ACC Media Day in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday, EA-TV was able to sit down and chat with players Jerome Robinson and A.J. Turner along with Eagles head coach Jim Christian about each one of the newcomers to the roster. Over the next week we'll be debuting a video series called, "Get to Know His Game", where Robinson, Turner, and Coach Christian describe and analyze each new player.
In the first edition of the series we debut with 6-foot-7 graduate transfer Connar Tava who arrived at the beginning of the summer from Western Michigan. The forward received rave reviews from his two teammates while at ACC Media Day this week along with his head coach.

"He should be a point guard," Robinson said of the forward because of the way he see's the floor and his high basketball IQ. Robinson also states in the video above that he thinks Tava will be one of the teams "key pieces" this year.
Tava and Turner were high school teammates at De La Salle High School, back home in a northern suburb of Detroit, Michigan. Turner remarked about Tava, "he's one of my favorite players to play with."
It's no secret that the Eagles have had their struggles at the power forward position as of late. Coach Christian likes to his teams to play with a certain level of grit and toughness, especially down low. Christian has made it clear that last year's team didn't have that, but he believes Tava bring that "level of toughness" that he wants and the team has been missing at the forward position.
