DePalma to BC: Eagles' hot streak continues

Boston College's recruiting momentum continued on Saturday, when the Eagles picked up their second commitment in as many days.

Actually, it was their second linebacker in as many days.

Vinny DePalma joined the commitment list.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound inside linebacker from DePaul Catholic in New Jersey committed to BC one day after Hugh Davis of Indiana. Both players have been among BC's top linebacker recruits, as EagleAction.com has reported for weeks.

DePalma is ranked the No. 26 player in New Jersey by Rivals.com.

He also had offers from Duke, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Wisconsin and many Group of Five schools.

DePalma is BC's 11th commitment from the 2017 class. The Eagles' class now ranks 30th nationally according to Rivals.com's formula, ahead of TCU, Auburn, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Virginia, Syracuse, Michigan State, NC State, South Carolina, Stanford, North Carolina and other Power Five schools.
