Charlotte North's Boston College career wrapped over a month ago, however, the NCAA's all-time leading scorer continues to earn recognition for her illustrious 2022 season.

She was nominated Tuesday for the Best College Athlete in Women's Sports ESPY. North is in contention for the award alongside South Carolina basketball's Aliyah Boston, Florida State soccer's Jaelin Howell and Oklahoma softball's Jocelyn Alo.

Fans can vote for the winner here. Voting takes place until July 17, and the ceremony will be broadcast on ABC at 8 p.m. on July 20.

North was named ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year earlier this month. She also became the first women's player to repeat as the Tewaaraton Award winner since Maryland's Taylor Cummings (2014-16). The first-team All-American was the top pick in the 2022 Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse College Draft.

North finished her college career with 358 goals, the most by any player in the sport's history. In 2021, her first full season with BC after transferring from Duke, she set the sport's single-season goals record (which has since been broken). But, that season, she guided the Eagles to their first-ever national title.

This year, she nearly did it again, only this time BC lost to North Carolina in the final. Still, it was a valiant run, during which North registered a team-best 92 goals and a career-high 115 points, not to mention 139 draw controls. The Dallas native rounded out the 2022 campaign third in goals, fourth in draws and fifth in points.

She's set to play in the second season of Athletes Unlimited, starting on July 21, after she competes in the 2022 World Championships with Team USA.
