West Deptford, N.J. linebacker Tom Walls visited Boston College last Tuesday and seemed ready to pull the trigger on a commitment. Will he?

"I thought about it, but I talked it over with my coach and my parents and we all agreed I should take an official visit before I do anything," said the 6-foot-2, 239-pounder. "I really loved BC and the coaches, but I want to meet some of the players and see how campus life is. I came close to committing and BC is my leader for sure."
Walls, who rushed for 1,379 yards on 190 carries and 22 touchdowns as a junior and also had 80 solo tackles and another 48 assists with two sacks and 15 tackles for loss, might make BC his only visit or he might check out a few other places.
"Maryland, Notre Dame, Penn State and a few others," he said. "I'm really not sure yet. I know BC is my top choice."
Walls has offers from BC, Maryland, Syracuse, Rutgers, Iowa and many others. He wanted to make a decision before his senior season started.
"But I also didn't want to rush into anything," he said. "BC was everything I thought it would be and me and my Dad had a great time there. I feel good about it and I might commit on my official visit if all goes well."
Walls wants to take his official visit to BC sometime during September or October.
