Taute has BC as early favorite

Hunter Taute was one of the many prospects who attended the Boston College spring game this past weekend and the Eagles are definitely high on his list.
The Westwood (Mass.) Xaverian Brothers inside linebacker said the trip went well and he's planning to return for summer camp in hopes of landing an offer.

"The campus tour went really well and on the field they got after it," Taute said. "It seemed like a bunch of guys that really wanted to play football so it was a really good day.
"We had breakfast with the coaches early in the morning and we got to talk a little bit but that was pretty much it."
Taute, a 6-foot-2, 235-pound prospect, said he hopes Boston College continues to pick up interest in the coming months.
The local linebacker said the coaching staff has just started to review his junior season film and so he hopes the Eagles keep him in mind as the summer gets closer.
"They're in the process of getting my full game tape and I'm going to camp there this summer and we'll see how it goes," Taute said. "It's a great college and they're definitely in my top three."
Michigan has started to show interest in Taute and he said Temple and Delaware are getting more involved as well. The Xaverian Brothers prospect said he's excited about how busy his recruitment is getting.
"A lot of opportunities are coming," Taute said.
In his junior season, Taute finished with 86 tackles. He also rushed for 480 yards but he's expected to play defense in college.
