Strizak still solid to BC

Mike Strizak does not like to brag but the Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep standout is playing incredibly well to start the season helping lead his team to big wins over powerhouses Mission Viejo, Calif., and Bradenton (Fla.) Manatee.
The Boston College commit who's playing defensive end - he's expected to be a linebacker for the Eagles - said he has about seven sacks in two games and that the entire Don Bosco defense is playing superbly well.

"We like playing with each other on the defensive line especially," Strizak said. "We like being around each other so that helps.
"Everybody feeds off each other. The linebackers feed off us, we feed off the cornerbacks, the cornerbacks feed off the line and so the defense is doing really well."
The 6-foot-2, 228-pound prospect is at defensive end for Don Bosco Prep but Strizak, who committed to Boston College in July, said he thinks the Eagles will most likely use him at linebacker.
"It's probably more of a high school thing," Strizak said of playing on the defensive line. "It really depends what Boston College wants me at but I think I'm going to be a linebacker in college."
And to Strizak his commitment to Boston College is still solid even though the Eagles have started the season with three straight losses.
Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Rutgers are some of Strizak's other offers but he said all the things Boston College offers is too much to pass up - even if the Eagles are struggling early on.
"Obviously it's not a great thing to have your future team losing like that but first of all it's about my education and that's always going to be there," Strizak said.
"That stands out the most for me and just when I get there we have to change a couple things around and get the right guys in there.
"The location is really good from where I live. It's three hours away so it's far enough away but close enough to come home and the education and Boston is just a great city. There are too many things with Boston College to let go."
Rivals.com rates Strizak as the No. 27 inside linebacker in the 2012 class and No. 15 in the New Jersey state rankings.
