QB Burton flips to UCLA

Quarterback Austin Burton has flipped his commitment from Boston College to UCLA.

Burton announced his decision on Twitter early Monday evening.

Burton didn't immediately have a rationale for his decision but there had been some chatter that he might have been leaning towards the Bruins in the past week.

When Eagle Action had spoken with sources close to the BC program there was no indication given that Burton had tipped his hand on that point. In other words, this news likely came as a surprise.

Even with Burton's decommitment the Eagles still have one quarterback pledge on board in EJ Perry, who was one of the program's top camp performers over the summer.
