Basketball season is finally here. The Boston College Eagles begin official basketball practices today, thus marks the beginning of the 2016-17 college basketball season. This is the third season for head coach Jim Christian at Boston College.

There are always concerns when a team that went winless in conference play a season ago has to replace seven scholarship players the following year, and that's exactly what the Eagles had to do since the season ended back in March.

Four players left the program on their own and three others graduated. The combination of the players lost in the off-season along with the new talent added to the roster since, has added a sense of hopefulness and an positive energy to the program and it's fan base.

But how will this years team do with seven new players, all of which are expected to contribute this season?
