Louis-Jean to Miss Few Games

Boston College sophomore defensive back Al Louis-Jean has sustained a left foot injury and is expected to miss several games during recovery time, according to an announcement made by head football coach Frank Spaziani.

Louis-Jean is a 6-foot-2, 195-pound sophomore from Brockton, Mass. He played in 10 games as a true freshman last fall and recorded 15 tackles, three pass break-ups, one interception and one forced fumble. Louis-Jean registered his first collegiate interception - and returned it 26 yards - against Wake Forest on Oct. 1.
In additional injury-related news, senior tight end Chris Pantale has undergone surgery to repair a broken bone in his right foot.
The surgery was performed on Monday, Aug. 13 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, Mass. He is expected to miss approximately eight weeks during recovery time.
A 6-foot-6, 255-pound senior from Wayne, N.J., Pantale sustained the injury last week. He is one of four players elected to serve as team captains in 2012. Pantale has 77 career receptions for 797 yards and five touchdowns in 38 career starts over the last three seasons.
Boston College will host Miami in the team's season opener on Sept. 1 at 3:30 p.m. on ABC (regionally) or ESPN2 (nationally).
