Kicker consider BC visit

Kickers usually don't get offered until later in the recruiting process but don't tell that to Harrison Butker because the Atlanta (Ga.) Westminster standout already has offers from Boston College, Auburn and Georgia Tech.
More could be coming for the 6-foot-3, 170-pound prospect since Stanford, Virginia, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Duke and others are also showing interest.

"I'm looking at the Southeast but I'm open to everything," Butker said.
"It's kind of crazy that I'm getting offers now because usually kickers don't get them until the summer. This is really early for kickers. I'm surprised. They came out of nowhere, all of them. I had no clue."
Auburn was the first to offer a few Thursdays ago and then Boston College followed up a few days later. Georgia Tech recently offered as well and Butker said he's excited about all the programs.
The Atlanta standout has already visited Auburn and Georgia Tech since both schools are so close to his home but has not been to Boston College yet.
Butker said he would like to visit all the schools that offered him - especially Boston College since he doesn't know too much about the program - but nothing has been settled yet.
"They're in the ACC but I don't know too much about them yet," Butker said. "It's a good school and I'm looking at the academics. I don't know that much about Boston College yet. I just know Matt Ryan went there.
"Auburn is SEC football. It's a huge stadium so that's pretty exciting. I had no clue. I didn't think I was going to get any SEC schools. That one came out of nowhere."
Butker emerged on the national scene after performing well at numerous kicking camps. He said a trip to Boston College would definitely be considered but he has not set up anything yet.
