BC was one of two schools to offer Josh Fedd-Jackson on Monday. He spoke with EagleAction.com about both in the evening.
"I received Michigan earlier in the day and Boston College later," the 6-foot-3, 305-pound offensive guard from Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph's said.
The Michigan offer followed an earlier offer from Rutgers, so the Wolverines and Eagles became the third and fourth schools to offer overall.
"I couldn't believe it when Michigan offered," Fedd-Jackson said. "Because that's a big school. That was like, 'Wow.' They're new but we've been talking, just a little bit. They said that they were interested in me about two weeks ago. They said they were going to start keeping in contact and now they offered."
Fedd-Jackson said he will "definitely" be visiting Michigan to visit the campus at some point in the not too distant future.
What about the Boston College offer?
"Ever since I transferred to St. Joe's they were actually the first college to talk to me," Fedd-Jackson continued. "I hadn't really talked to them too much but they were the first college that said they were really going to recruit me."
Fedd-Jackson transferred to St. Joseph's in July, BC reached out a while back.
He attributes his new offers to the quality of his play on the field thus far in 2015.
"It's definitely my best season that I've ever had in my life," he said. "Our first four games were some big games against some big players. I've been playing the best I've played."
BC receivers coach Brian White is recruiting Fedd-Jackson.
"I wasn't really expecting their offer either," Fedd-Jackson said. "The coach had told me to call him once a week and he was just checking up on me. So I called him and he said, 'How would you like to be an Eagle?'
"I was like, 'Coach, we've talked about this at least four times. Are you guys gonna offer?' And he said, 'I just did.'"
Fedd-Jackson said he has not spent much time around Rutgers but he will be attending their game against Michigan State this weekend.
