Eagles have 2018 DBs attention

BC hasn't offered too many 2017 recruits and they surely haven't offered many 2018's. But a top sophomore from New York has the coaching staff's attention.
Jarrett Paul may only be a Class of 2018 prospect but the Middle Village (N.Y.) Christ the King student-athlete has a lot going for him. He has no offers yet but it might just be a matter of time.
Paul's already 6-feet and 174 pounds, so he's got good length for the secondary and plenty of time to fill out.
"Rutgers is my leader," Paul admitted in a recent interview with EagleAction.com. " I'm in heavy contact with their staff and I've visited three times already. I feel that they'll be my first offer."
But even if the Scarlet Knights are ahead of the field it's very early and Paul is demonstrating that Boston College is an offer he'd love to have and one he'd take seriously.
"I visited BC last weekend for their game against Virginia Tech," Paul said. "I spent a lot of time on the field watching warm ups. I'm a DB, so I was mainly watching the DB's do their drills. It was my first time visiting BC, but I feel I will visit more times in the future. Their staff is interested in me and wants me to come to their camp in the summer."
Even though Paul hadn't visited BC before the Virginia Tech game he knew the coaches at Chestnut Hill were interested.
"They said that I have nice size for a young defensive back," he said. "And that I have ideal time to reach my full potential. I will definitely visit again in the offseason so I could speak more with Coach (Kevin) Lempa."
Lempa would be Paul's defensive backs coach if he lands at BC. But that's a long way from now.
"Overall I liked it a lot," Paul explained. "They're an ACC program. The ACC appeals to me because of the amount of passing that takes place. I currently have no offers, but my goal is to change that this offseason when I perform at camps."
