Eagles Gameday: Boston College Vs. Virginia Tech

Boston College is back in action on Saturday afternoon for the final time on their home floor this season. The Eagles welcome in Virginia Tech for their second meeting of the season. The Hokies won the first meeting back in January at Blacksburg, 85-79. The game tips at 4:00 p.m. inside Conte Forum. The school will also retire the jerseys of form BC greats, John Bagley and Dana Barros.

In the first game against the Hokies earlier this year, sophomore Jordan Chatman tied a BC record with nine 3-pointers and scored 30 points. The Eagles have lost 13 of their last 14, including a 104-72 loss at No. 17 Florida State on Monday. Prior to the game, BC will recognize three players playing in their last game at Conte Forum: graduate students Mo Jeffers and Connar Tava, and senior Garland Owens.

Radio: This broadcast can be heard live on the BC IMG Radio Network with the voice of the Eagles, Jon Meterparel providing play-by-play alongside former BC basketball great Danya Abrams as the analyst. Ex-women's player Kerri Shields will provide updates as the sideline reporter throughout the game. The broadcast will begin 15-minutes before tip-off on WEEI, or your local BC IMG Radio Network Affiliate.

Series Facts: Boston College owns an 18-10 advantage in the all-time series with Virginia Tech. The Eagles have won four of the last six meetings and eight of the last 11. Virginia Tech won the first game between the two back in January, 85-79. BC is 11-1 all-time against the Hokies in Chestnut Hill. The lone loss was in 2008 - an 81-73 overtime game. The first all-time meeting came back on December 29, 1981 in the Jacksonville Coliseum as part of the Gator Bowl Tournament. Virginia Tech won that matchup, 75-70.
