Coaches' Corner: Doug Brenner

The Oregon Ducks have a growing tradition at center with multi-year starters. The last few have been exceedingly good, with Seattle Seahawk Max Unger then four-year starter Jordan Holmes and now Hroniss Grasu, a starter since his freshman year. Now they are hoping Jesuit high school standout Doug Brenner will be the next one in line.

Veteran Oregon offensive line coach Steve Greawood recruited them all, and certainly thinks Brenner has a chance to be that person.

"I'm excited about Doug," said Greatwood. "Doug was a tight end for Jesuit high school. He came down to our camp last year and he wanted to go over and work with the tight ends. I looked at him and said 'Doug, if you're planning to get a scholarship here at Oregon, you need to come here with me instead of Coach Osborne.'"
