Arkansas gets immediate help

Arkansas landed five new additions on Wednesday, and all five will be counted on to make an immediate splash beginning in the spring.

The Razorbacks have huge needs along the offensive line and at linebacker, cornerback and safety, and those are the positions they addressed on the first day of the mid-term national signing period.

Starting with the defense, it was crucial for the Hogs to start making up ground at linebacker. Arkansas finished the 2012 season with two true freshmen, A.J. Turner and Otha Peters, starting at two of the linebacker spots. The reserves (on scholarship) for next season are expected to be Robert Atiga, Daunte Carr, Jarrett Lake and Braylon Mitchell. Atiga has zero career tackles, Carr has one, Lake has 27 in three seasons, and Mitchell owns eight in two seasons...
