Georgia DE wants to visit BC

McDonough (Ga.) Eagle's Landing Christian defensive end Justin Thomason is a name that has been on Boston College's radar for a long time. Thomason is a solid student, a good athlete and just seems to fit the mold of what BC's coaches look for in a player.

Several months ago Thomason expressed interest in visiting Boston College at some point.

He hasn't followed through with those plans yet but he's still not ruling it out. In fact, Thomason is tentatively planning on taking an official visit to BC before he makes his decision by the end of December.

"I know I'm going to (officially) visit North Carolina and there are a couple of others I'm thinking about," Thomason told early this week.

"I think I'll go to Indiana. I've been down there on an unofficial visit and I liked it. I'll probably go to Boston College, too. I've been thinking about doing that for a while."

Thomason singled out Vanderbilt, UNC and NC State as three schools he has been thinking about a lot lately. He has only positive things to say about BC but he admits that location could be something that works against the Eagles in the final analysis. That said, the fact that he's willing to take an official visit may mean that he's open to being swayed on that point.

"Boston College was one of my first offers so that was something that's stuck with me about them," Thomason explained. "I really like their defensive line coach and the system they run up there."

Thomason would certainly be an asset to any system, regardless of where he ends up.

On the season the 6-foot-4, 240-pound hybrid linebacker and defensive end has registered more than 70 tackles and 11 sacks. Eagle's Landing Christian is in the midst of a deep playoff run that will continue this Friday in the state semifinals.
