Houston makes return trip to OSU

Living less than 20 minutes north of Ohio State's campus, Dublin (Ohio) Scioto running back William Houston has been a mainstay at Ohio State games so far this season checking out both the Akron and Toledo games. The 5-foot-11, 218-pound junior had a great time on Saturday afternoon as the Buckeyes escaped Toledo 27-22.
"It was really good," said Houston. "I enjoyed the game and I liked that Toledo actually put up a good game actually because it got me into the game more. At the end of the game, Ohio State's crowd really got into it and that's what I like to see."
Houston said the atmosphere at the Toledo game surpassed what he saw in the week one win over Akron.
"Last week the crowd was into it but not as much as they were in the fourth quarter of the Toledo game," he said.
The visit to Ohio State capped off a great weekend for Houston as he had a career night in his team's win over rival Worthington Kilbourne in 'The Battle of Hard Road'.
"My coaches told me that I had 181 yards and three touchdowns," he said. "It was an amazing night; the line did extremely well and Darius (McDonald) also ran for 100 yards. Our defense also played really good."
Houston is still waiting to pick up his first offer, but there certainly isn't a lack of interest as schools from all over the nation have been sending mail and coming by the school over the last several months.
"I'm hearing from pretty much everyone in the Big Ten," he explained. "I've got some schools from the ACC coming in and even some SEC schools. I don't really have any favorite schools right now, I'm opening my eyes to everywhere."
Houston will likely make it to more Ohio State games this fall and is also starting to receive game invites from a handful of other programs.
"I was just invited to the Duke/Stanford game coming up this Saturday, I don't know if I'll make it out there or not," he said. "I was also invited to the Penn State/Alabama game this weekend but I went to Ohio State instead. I'm also planning on heading up to Michigan State at some point."
