I don't think anyone had this one circled on their calendars in October as a battle for 1st in Hockey East.
I'll be heading up to Mack for the first time tomorrow night. What's the experience at Lawler Arena been like for those of you who have made the trip?

For a long stretch it was pretty easy. The rink was half empty and BC would win every time. But of late it has been as tough as any away venue for the Eagles. Some decent restaurants in the area if you get there early enough. The place is packed now, I would take a split of the two games.

Small building, very lively crowd, if you have kids they can literally high five the players coming in and out of the lockerroom. Really fun place to see a college hockey game.
Get there early....parking and getting in can be a chore.

have to disagree. In my opinion it is not a fun place to see a game. Its cold, the restroom situation is not good and there is virtually nothing to eat and you park a long way away for a place that holds 2400. Other than that, it's fine. I will be there tonight and have 2 tickets from an MC donor and his tickets are in that little separate area so this should be my best experience out of the 5 or 6 games ive seen there. I was there before and after the renovations, they did do a nice job considering there was not much to work with

agreed, it's a high school rink what are the ceilings 10 feet?

Games at Merrimack suck. Feels like you're at Veteran's rink in Franklin for crying out loud.
Anyway, as you know, MC is bigger, stronger, older. BC will need to play some hard-nosed hockey to win this one. One can always hope Bigos does something stupid (he usually does).
