On those thoughts:

1) Sullivan dressed but didn't play -we'll see on Friday
2) Like you said 17-18-9 really didn't get much time.  Around now is when York starts to tighten the bench a little (I remember last year when the 4th line got nothing in the OT and Dumo/Cross got about 10 minutes each).  Should be interesting to see how this shuffles out.  I think he's got something with that 4th line, not yet sold on Linell with Mullane-Gaudreau but give it some time, they're clearly trying to jump start a player who has shown flashes.
3) Again, the difference Matheson makes on this team is unbelievable, changes every phase of the game for BC.

Some odd scheduling coming up: 1 F/1 Sun this week, 1 Sun next weekend then Tuesday but some big opponents.

Macleod really was excellent the other night.  That snipe that went directly off the corner pipe and back out was as close to a perfect shot as you can make without it going in.

Jeke has All-Conference potential by the time he matures a bit.  He's still green and looks very solid out there with nice crisp outlet passes.

Agreed on Matheson.  He's only going to get better too.  He seems like a great kid and will be a great representative of the BC program when he goes on to the pro's.  I expect him to come back for a sophomore season and be incredible.

In the offensive end sure, but will be tough to surpass Dumoulin's +40 FR year


I'm still shocked Jeke didn't crack the lineup till Patch went down, sure he's green but he's been impressive.

Besides Dumoulin, 3 others stood out like that as freshmen in the past 25 years or so. Nobody compares to Brian Leetch who played like he was Bobby Orr while at BC. The other two were Ian Moran who alone was a spark to bring BC back to prominence within a few years until Reasoner came in. He was Hockey East Rookie of the year. The other was Mike Mottau(5G,18A as a freshman) while not as solid numbers assistwise as his later years, he was an immediate impact Defenseman. Not bad company to be in with. Matheson stands out like those defensemen and with forwards like Gionta, Reasoner, and Richie Smith as freshmen. Their presence was felt whenever they were on the ice.
