Following Friday evening's methodical 3-0 semi-final win over UVM, Boston College senior Ben Smith told a gathering of media and other observers that his team "can play all kinds of hockey. We can play a grinding game, we can play a run and gun game or we can play something in between." Now just 24 hours later we see what he means, as Boston College reversed form and matched goals with the University of Maine through 60 minutes of regulation and five minutes and twenty-five seconds of overtime before closing out the Hockey East championship and heading to the NCAA tournament with an exciting 7-6 victory over the University of Maine at the TD Garden.
