The whole Boston College sports universe will have its eyes transfixed on South Bend this weekend as both the football and men's hockey teams travel to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. For the No. 14/15 hockey team, the No. 9/10 Irish will be a tall task, but a win would be a huge confidence boost for the 0-1 Eagles. BC opened their regular season with a 4-1 loss at Vermont on Sunday. Junior Joe Whitney tallied the only goal with sophomore Cam Atkinson notching the lone assist. The Eagles actually led 1-0 just 4:36 into the contest, but two goals late in the first for the Catamounts did them in.
