There has been a lot of speculation recently that Boston College may be falling out of favor with Poway, Calif. defensive tackle Nick Wood. The 6-foot-2, 272-pounder claims that isn't the case.

"I think of Boston College to be as good of an option for me as any out there," he said. "It's a good fit and a great school. They are a very successful program and I love the guys coming up there."

One issue that may be a problem for the Eagles is distance.
