EagleAction.com Come April when we look back on this hockey season we probably won't remember much about this past weekend, except that both games were more exciting than handicappers might have predicted. Neither UMass or Maine have reasonable aspirations beyond the regular season, but, as Jerry York always reminds us, every point earned in Hockey East is hard earned. The two points found in Orono Friday night (4-2 incuding an empty-netter) and the two points bagged at home against UMass Sunday afternoon (tied at two until 3:37 of the third) carry the same weight in the standings as two points against Lowell or maybe BU and New Hampshire. In summary, BC won two games they were supposed to win but they were not particularly brilliant in either one.
