McGee Brings New Swing to OT
Texarkana, Texas - While most offensive linemen prefer to stay quiet and lay low that's never been the case for Sooner commitment John Michael McGee. The nation's No. 2 guard backed up the idea of his inherent differences from many of his blocking brethren by catching a pass on a tackle-eligible two-point conversion during the Tigers 48-38 win over Sulphur Springs.
This blocking is always expected to be dominant from a player the caliber of McGee the tackle eligible play isn't that shocking for a guy possibly taking part in his final home game. However, considering that unlike many coaches who have called similar plays, Tigers head coach Barry Norton didn't just throw to McGee in the end zone and hope against all good sense that he caught it. Instead McGee took a pass from Addison Porter behind the line of scrimmage and ran into the end zone.
